LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 17, 2012) – Keion Wade (East Orange, N.J./East Orange) of the Saint Francis University Football team was named one of Beyond Sport College Network's Offensive Players of the Week, Monday.
 
Wade, a senior running back, posted 243 yard Saturday against non-conference opponent Morehead State and led the Flash to their first win every against the Eagles in Morehead, Ky. Wade improved throughout the game and rushed for 232 of his yards in the final three quarters. The native of East Orange, N.J. turned heads in the third quarter with a 40-yard touchdown run in which he hurdled a Morehead State defender and carried another MSU player into the end zone. Wade's rushing total ranks as the third best single-game rushing aggregate in the Football Championship Subdivision this season and the fourth highest in all of Division I. Wade enters the fourth week of the season ranked 19th nationally in rushing. In tandem with quarterback John Kelly (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic), Wade leads the Saint Francis rushing attack, which currently leads the Northeast Conference in rush offense and ranks sixth nationally.   
 
The Red Flash return to action Saturday when they travel to Maryland to take on nationally ranked Towson under the lights in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
