Junior place kicker Josh Thiel tied a personal-best and school record 45-yard field goal Saturday afternoon during SFU's 27-13 routing of defending NEC champs CCSU. In less than ideal snow filled conditions, Thiel hit the long field goal as time expired in the second half. On the day, Thiel went 2-3 on field goal attempts and prior to his one miss, he had hit eight consecutive.
