Friday's competition at the ITC Individual Sectionals featured individual competitions as 130 bowlers from some of the top teams in the NCAA and Independent collegiate teams from across the nation vied for a spot in the nationals to be held later in the season. Each participant threw six traditional games with the top four finishers qualifying for nationals. Red Flash freshman Christina Leid put up a strong fight for one of those four spots but fell just three pins shy, placing in sixth. Fourth place accumulated a total pinfall of 1,227 while Leid threw an impressive 1,224 in six games, an average of 204. Heading into the rest of the weekend and the team sectionals portion, Leid led the Red Flash with a 21.29 baker frame average, helping SFU to place in sixth out of 15 teams.
