Tesa McKibben earns one of the first Athlete of the Week awards for the 2012-13 season after she lent a helping hand in SFU's 2-0 opening win over Duquesne last Friday. The 5-6 forward scored the first goal of the season in the 35th minute and assisted on Bea Maros De Carvalhos’ insurance goal in the 84th minute. McKibben also took half of the Red Flash’s 22 shots. Her three points put her one point away from Saint Francis' career record of 91, which has stood since 1991. For her efforts, she was named the NEC's Player of the Week.
