Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis women's bowling team is geared up to take on Bowie State in the Opening Round of NCAA Tournament on Saturday. The matchup will be played at the Holiday Bowl in Altoona, Pa. This is the first ever contest between the Red Flash and Bulldogs.

The Red Flash, led by head coach Tom Falbo, finished the regular season 71-50 and won its second Northeastern Conference championship two weeks ago in Howell, N.J.

Sarah Littleton (Round Lake Beach, Ill./Grayslake North), Haley Carroll (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South), Kyra Udziela (Lemont, Ill./Lemont), Emma Wrenn (Arlington Heights, ILL. /John Hersey ) and Britney Grey (Cattaraugus, N.Y./Cattaraugus Little Valley Central ) have made a huge impact for the Flash during their second half run. Last week, Wrenn was honored with the NEC Most Valuable Performer while Littleton and Udziela earned a spot on the NEC All-Tournament team. Carroll and Grey were also recognized by receiving NEC All-Conference honors. Wrenn and Carroll also received NEC All-Conference honors.

About the Bulldogs
Bowie State enter the NCAA Tournament holding a 47-20 overall record. The Bulldogs defeated Fayetteville State in the CIAA championship led by Diamond Carter, Chantel Farlow, and Bre'Ana Jones. The win helped Bowie State capture its 4th consecutive CIAA conference title in eight years.
