Swimming Hosts Siena on Senior Day

Loretto, Pa.- Your Saint Francis swimming team is set to wrap its home portion of the schedule with a senior day showdown against the Siena Saints. The first event is set for 1 p.m. 

In the last meet for the Red Flash, Saint Francis finished tenth out of 17 at the ECAC Winter Championships. 

Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) dominated at the ECAC Winter Championships finishing third in the 400 IM, 17th in the 800 Freestyle Relay, 11th in the 200 Freestyle Relay, ninth in the 400 Freestyle Relay and 11th in the 400 Medley Relay

Jessica Rupp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) placed ninth in the 100 Backstroke at the ECAC Winter Championships.

Erin O'Neill (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) earned 12th in the 100 Breaststroke. 

Senior Day

Red Flash Swimming will be celebrating the careers of four swimmers: Amanda Crnic (Conway, Ark./Conway), Marisa Daly (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan), Kristin Fisher (Lakeville, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional) and Rory O'Dell (Chapel Hill, N.C./Northwood). 

Eligible for Sainthood

The 14 wins over Siena ties for the most victories by the Red Flash swim team over an opponent. The other team? Saint Francis Brooklyn. 

Rookie of the Week

Freshman Amelia Laudenbach (Kambah, Australia/Trinity Christian School) won NEC Rookie of the Week for her performances in the Magnus Cup. Her times in the 200 Backstroke, 100 Backstroke and 1650 Freestyle all rank in the top-3 of the conference for those respective events. May it be the first of many for the freshman!
