Jake Myers named Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis Director of Athletics
James Downer has announced the addition of
Jake Myers as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Red Flash athletic department, effective October 19.
Myers joins the Red Flash after spending for the last two years at UC Davis as Associate Strength & Conditioning Coach, where he worked with football, women's basketball, softball, and men's water polo.
"I am thrilled to have Jake lead our strength & conditioning efforts and I could not be more excited for him to begin working with our student-athletes and coaches," said Downer. "He brings extensive Division I experience to the role and I have no doubt that he is prepared to lead and enhance a role that is vitally important for our department. Jake has demonstrated that he will be a great fit for both the athletic department and the institution. I would like to welcome Jake and his wife Angelina to Saint Francis."
Prior to his time in Davis, Myers worked at Arizona as a Performance Enhancement Coach and Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, assisting with the year-round football program and leading the efforts for men's tennis, men's golf, cross country, and cheerleading. Myers worked at Western Kentucky from 2014-16 and gained experience beginning in his undergraduate days, working in the Strength & Conditioning at Slippery Rock.
Myers is a 2014 alumnus of Slippery Rock with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.
