PITTSBURGH – The Saint Francis men's and women's tennis teams opened the weekend at Duquesne on Friday. The Red Flash women (3-7) fell to the Duquesne women (3-1) by a 7-0 margin while the Red Flash men (1-10) lost to the Duquesne men (3-0) by a 6-1 margin.
Daniel Vinces earned the point for the Red Flash men at No. 4 singles, picking up his third singles win of the season, by prevailing in three sets.

SINGLES
Vinces earned his third singles win of the season by prevailing in three sets over Duquesne's Teberikov. After Vinces won the first set by a 7-5 margin, Teberikov rallied to win the second set by the same margin. Vinces earned the 10-4 win in the third set to earn the point.
Andrew Teixeira took his No. 2 singles match to three sets but ultimately fell to Rodriguez-Vidal in the third set. After dropping set one 6-4, Teixeira won the second set 6-3. He then lost the third set 6-3.
Sebastian Pinos lost at No. 1 singles to Mascioli, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 3 singles,
Christian Banti fell to Marshall 6-3, 6-1.
Jordi Garcia surrendered his No. 5 singles match, 6-4, 6-1, while
Samuel Ghigiarelli lost at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-3.
DOUBLES
Duquesne earned the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles before No. 2 doubles was able to finish. Banti and Teixeira made up the No. 1 doubles team for the Red Flash while Garcia and Ghigiarelli played at No. 3 doubles. Pinos and
Matt Blose played at No. 2 doubles.

SINGLES
Dominique Yeo pushed her first set at No. 1 singles to extra games but lost 7-5 and 6-3 against Novak. At No. 2 singles,
Anouk Ma-Ajong lost to Shanahan 6-1, 6-3.
Romina Cutipa fell to Duquesne's Pessy 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Nagisa Miyake fell at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-3. At No. 5 singles,
Marie Discini lost by 6-2 and 6-4 margins.
DOUBLES
Both doubles matches required extra play but Duquesne ultimately took the doubles point. Cutipa and Yeo fell at No. 1 doubles to Lee and Dessey by a narrow 7-6 margin. At No. 2 doubles, Miyake and Ma-Ajong were edged 7-5.
