Saint Francis Athletic Communications/Creative Video Announce Staff Additions

The Saint Francis University Athletic Communications Office added Timothy Lonas, Madison Maselko and Aaron Tully as Athletic Communications/Creative Video and Athletic Broadcasts Graduates Assistants for the next two years. In addition, the department welcomed back Gabrielle Yanniello for her final semester and Kyle Simmonds returns for one more year in the department.

"We have a great group of newcomers to add to our staff and returning experience with Gabrielle and Kyle coming back," said Dave Musil, Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletics Communications. "It was a tough class to replace after losing three outstanding individuals  last year, but I think that Timothy, Madison and Aaron are a great addition to Saint Francis University and help us to promote the talented student-athletes that we have here in Loretto."

Lonas, a 2023 graduate of Penn State University, comes to Loretto after serving as a student assistant in the Penn State strategic communications office. He also worked with BVM Sports, the Daily Collegian, COMM Radio and Backseat Coach over the last two years. Lonas will serve as the primary contact for cross country/track and field and men's volleyball.

Maselko, a 2023 graduate of John Carroll University, worked in the John Carroll sports information office for a year. She contributed to a book on the 50-year history of women's athletics at John Carroll and won two honors for her work in sports information for her work in her senior year through the John Carroll athletic department and the Ohio Athletic Conference. She also was a media intern for PONY Baseball and Softball. Maselko will serve as the primary contact for women's volleyball and women's swimming.

Tully, a 2023 graduate of Saint Joseph's University, worked in the Saint Joseph's athletic communication office for the spring semester of his senior year. He also served as a sports desk intern for the Philadelphia Inquirer for his senior campaign and the BuffaLowDown for from May 2021-2022. Tully was also a member of the Hawks newspaper and a Division I athlete on the men's rowing team. Tully will serve as the primary contact for women's soccer and men's and women's tennis.

Yanniello, who started at Saint Francis in January 2022, will wrap up her time with Saint Francis when she graduates in December 2023. Yanniello will serve as the primary contact for men's soccer and women's water polo for the fall semester.

Simmonds, a 2022 graduate of Saint Francis, returns to his alma mater for his second year. Simmonds works with the Creative Video and Athletic Broadcasts department and adds primary contact responsibilities for men's and women's golf to his repertoire this year.
