Godbout Finishes Fourth At Pitt-Johnstown Bedford Springs Invitational For Red Flash Men's Golf

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Nathan Godbout (St. George, Vt.) finished fourth on Tuesday, pacing the Saint Francis men's golf team to fifth place.
>> After shooting a three-under-par score of 69 in the first round, Godbout posted an 82 in the second round to finish with a two-round score of 151. The senior posted a birdie on hole seven and two pars on the front nine and then had a one-under-par final nine holes thanks to birdies on 10, 13, and 18 with five pars. He was the only Red Flash player with a birdie in the final round.
>> In the two rounds, Godbout had an eagle, nine birdies, and 19 pars to finish eight strokes behind the medalist.
>> Trent Meyers (Altoona, Pa.) had the best round of the afternoon with a total of 77.

FLASH MOMENTS
Meyers (16th place, 159), Jackson Hoey (Sewickley, Pa.) (16th place, 159), Hunter Jurica (Derry, Pa.) (33rd place, 171), and Alex Carr (Somerset, Pa.) (39th place, 89) rounded out the five Red Flash team players.

Meyers made no birdies in the final round but made 14 pars to finish the 36 holes with three birdies and 21 pars. Hoey carded 10 pars on Tuesday with two birdies and 19 pars in the final tune-up for the conference championships. Jurica posted six pars in the second round, a birdie, and 10 pars in the event, while Carr registered four pars on Tuesday and 10 pars in the two rounds. 

Tanner Mona (State College, Pa.) (43rd place, 181) competed individually and registered nine pars in the tournament.

Host Pitt-Johnstown won its home event with a score of 606, three strokes ahead of Indiana (Pa.) (609). West Chester (627), Bloomsburg (630), the Red Flash (642), American International (667), and Mount Aloysius (689) round out the competing teams. The Flash shot a 313 in the first round and a 329 in the final 18 holes.

Saint Francis returns to action at the Northeast Conference Men's Golf Championships on April 26-28. For the first time in NEC history, the event will be played in the state of Georgia and at the Calloway Resort and Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
