Nomination Form | Saint Francis Athletic Hall of Fame Members
Loretto, Pa. - The Saint Francis Athletics Department seeks nominations for its 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Class. The class, which will be the 13th in school history, will be inducted on the final weekend of July 2026 in conjunction with Saint Francis University's Alumni Weekend.
The public can immediately nominate a former athlete or staff member who left their mark on Red Flash Athletics. Nominations are accepted online at www.sfuathletics.com or by mail. The nomination period will close on August 11, 2025. All nominations received since the last Hall of Fame in 2022 will still be honored and considered during selection.
The Saint Francis University Hall of Fame currently highlights 67 individuals and six teams. Of the individual inductees, 52 are former student-athletes. It will be the first large induction ceremony since 2022 when Marc Honore '07 (Men's Volleyball), Scott Lewis '11 (Football), Melissa Mackel '04 (Women's Track & Field), Gary Pirozzola '73 (Wrestling), Ryan Sheehan '05 (Men's Cross Country/Track & Field), Megan (Taliaferro) Albidrez '00 (Women's Volleyball), Eric Taylor '98 (Men's Basketball), Stacy Trice '98 (Softball) and Joe Vesnesky (Contributor) were honored with their induction into the Athletics Hall of Fame. Bob Moore '69 (Contributor) was inducted in 2024 in a special individual Hall of Fame ceremony.
Student-athletes must have attended Saint Francis for at least two seasons to be eligible for consideration. Staff nominees must have spent at least five years at Saint Francis.
The Hall of Fame Committee will begin a review of nominations continually until it forwards its recommendations to the University President, Rev. Malachi Van Tassell, T.O.R., Ph.D., for final determination.
