Saint Francis University Athletics will celebrate its NCAA Division I history during our final year as a Division I program and our rich history with the Northeast Conference (NEC).
At our football home opener against Delaware State on Saturday, September 20, we will honor anyone that played on an NEC Championship team with our Champions Day celebration. Game time is 1 p.m.
If you are a member of one of these championship teams, we invite you back to Saint Francis for a complimentary package that includes a t-shirt, tickets and recognition during the game against the Hornets. Please RSVP or this event to Marjorie McHenry at mmchenry@francis.edu or 814-472-3286.
If you are unable to attend Champions Day on September 20 or not a member of a Saint Francis University Northeast Conference Championship Team, but want a t-shirt? Saint Francis Athletics has opened an exclusive store with just the Red Flash Champions t-shirt so you can purchase a t-shirt for $21. The store closes on August 26 so make sure you get yours before it closes!
In addition, we have some great individual champions that have won cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field and golf that are also a great part of our championship legacy that are also included as part of the invitation to Champions Day.
This year marks the 45th season associated with the NEC, dating back to the old basketball conference named ECAC Metro, and the Red Flash has won 69 NEC titles since joining the league.
Saint Francis will announce additional events throughout the year and will culminate our celebration with the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony in July 2026 during Alumni Weekend.
