Saint Francis had 114 student-athletes named to the NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced by the league on Tuesday. The student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll had a 3.20 grade point average or better, while 44 registered a 3.75 grade point average or better to earn NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll status.
Women's cross country had 94.3 percent of its roster named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll, with 53.3 percent selected to the NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Women's soccer (88.0 percent) and women's volleyball (76.9 percent) also had 75 percent of their rosters earn Academic Honor Roll status. Women's volleyball had 46.2 percent of its roster on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
By just numbers, football led the fall teams with 35 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, followed by men's soccer (17), women's soccer (16), women's cross country (14), field hockey (14), women's volleyball (10), and men's cross country (8).
In addition,
Korrin Burns (Clarion, Pa.) received NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition for women's volleyball for the second-straight year. It is the fourth time the Red Flash has had a scholar-athlete for women's volleyball after Anne Roosevelt (2006) and Elise Dumouchelle (2019) previously took home the distinction.
Saint Francis is the only NEC school to have earned an NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year every year since the award's inception in 2003-04, winning 85 honors in that span. Last year, the Red Flash had four student-athletes named Scholar Athletes.
For the 2024-25 academic year, Saint Francis had 379 NEC Academic Honor Roll honors and 160 Commissioner's Honor Roll selections through the three seasons (fall, winter, and spring).
