About the Red Flash Dance Team

Participating on the Red Flash Dance Team is a privilege and a high-energy commitment. Our goal is to support Saint Francis University Athletics by leading fans through a complete game-day experience while exemplifying the SFU Athletics Mission.

Our Philosophy

We believe the "Student" comes first in "Student-Athlete." You are at Saint Francis to earn a degree. Once academic priorities are met (minimum 2.25 GPA required), you may participate 100% in the dance program. We foster an environment that builds lifelong teammates, improves confidence, and masters high-level skills.

What We Do

  • Game Day: We attend all home Football games, Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, and travel for postseason tournaments.

  • Appearances: Dancers represent the University at pep rallies, promotional events, and community service. (Requires 4 additional appearances per semester).

  • Competition: We offer a competitive track for qualified dancers.

  • Nationals: Every other year, we attend The College Classic in Orlando, FL.

  • Regional: In "off" years, we compete at collegiate competitions closer to home.

  • Note: The top 20 scoring dancers will be invited to join the Competition Team.
