He was a four-year All-Academic Team selection in football, and the winner of the 2018-2019 MVP award and the 2019-2020 Offensive Lineman Award
Baney was also chosen for the District 4 All-Star Game (which was never played 6/19/20 due to pandemic and not rescheduled), and was a four-time all-league selection on offense and defense
