Connor Oechslin begins his first season as an assistant coach on Shelby Edwards staff in 2026.
Oechslin, a Johnstown, Pa., native, got his start in coaching with a youth club during his sophomore year at Gardner-Webb, and has been coaching the U18’s Team for an up-and-coming club, Johnstown United, for the last year.
Oechslin spent his first two seasons playing collegiately at Gardner-Webb before transferring to Saint Francis for the 2024 season. He appeared in four games with one start with the Red Flash.
A three-time letterwinner at Westmont Hilltop High School in Johnstown, Pa., Oeschslin was selected to the 2021 Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association all-state team and was a two-time all-Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference selection. He also played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC Academy.
Oeschslin graduated with a criminal justice degree in 2025 from Saint Francis and earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration in 2026
