Jim Brazill was named Saint Francis University Director of Athletics on February 27, 2025. Saint Francis won the Northeast Conference men's basketball and softball tournaments, and the men's volleyball team was the NEC regular season champion in Brazill's first couple months at the helm. In addition, the Red Flash won the Joan Martin Commissioner's Cup for the 2024-25 season.

The 2025-26 athletic season will be Brazill's 20th year with the University, the current second longest administrator or coach in athletics, after coming to Loretto in August 2005. Brazill ascended his way up to Director of Athletics after serving as Director of External Affairs for Athletics (2005-09), assistant director of athletics (2009-11), associate director of athletics (2011-14) and senior associate director of athletics (2014-25). Brazill coordinated the department's fund raising operations – including the Stokes Club and Red Flash Futures – in addition to corporate sponsorships, athletics promotions, athletics communications, University Bands, dance team and cheerleaders.

Brazill served as Vice President and General Manager of the Johnstown Chiefs Professional Hockey Team. He spent nearly 13 years with the organization, working his way up to Vice President and General Manager after joining the team as an intern in December of 1992.

Brazill is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he received his bachelor of science in Physical Education/Sport Management in May of 1993.
