Kristy Kargo is a dedicated educator and experienced cheerleading coach as she starts her first season with Red Flash Cheer the fall of 2024. She has a strong background in both special education and cheerleading which allows her to bring a unique blend of skills and passion to her coaching career.
A graduate of Penn State University, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education followed by a Master's Degree in Education from Saint Francis University. Coach Kristy has a proven track record of success in the classroom and on the field. She has served as a special education teacher at Penn Cambria High School, where she has fostered a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Kristy's experience in cheerleading is equally impressive. She has coached both all-star and school teams, including Turner's All Stars in Johnstown and the Varsity team at Portage High School. Her ability to develop athletes' skills, build team camaraderie, and create a positive coaching atmosphere has consistently led to successful outcomes.
Kargo resides in Portage, PA with her husband Jared and children Kendall, Kaden and stepdaughter Mackenzie. She is very eager to contribute her expertise to the Saint Francis University cheerleading program and help the team achieve new heights.
