Lisa Swope has been with Saint Francis University since January 2019, but begins her has been the Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator since 2020-21.

In her role, Swope oversees all aspects of administration of the athletic department, including human resources, purchasing and transportation. In addition, as Senior Woman Administrator she is serves as Saint Francis University's liaison with governing athletic associations and conferences regarding the governance of women's athletics, and is responsible for assisting the University's intercollegiate athletics program and establishing policies and procedures that achieve the parallel goals of development of quality, competitive athletics teams and support of the individual educational goals of women student-athletes.

Prior to being named Senior Associate Director of Athletics of Administration/Senior Woman Administrator, Swope served as the men’s women’s tennis coach for Saint Francis University from 2019-21. Before coming to Saint Francis athletics, Swope was in a private legal practice with her husband, served as a United States Trustee and an adjunct professor of Sports Law for Saint Francis University’s Shields School of Business. She also worked as an Assistant District Attorney for Cambria County, was an associate for K&L Gates, LLC in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was staff accountant for Ernst & Young, LLC in Akron, Ohio.

Swope is a 1991 graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University Of Akon School Of Law in 1995, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also obtained a Master Taxation from the University Of Akron School Of Business Administration, and passed the Uniform Public Accounting Exam. During her career at Akron, she was a member of the women’s tennis team and team captain.

Swope and her husband Tom reside in Ebensburg with their dog, Rockne. They have three adult children Hannah, Thomas and Sam. Thomas is currently a junior at Saint Francis University
