LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Football team resumes its NEC schedule this Saturday as it travels to Bryant.  The Red Flash and the Bulldogs are set for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Beirne Stadium, with a broadcast on NEC Front Row.
 
Head Coach James Perry is in his first year leading the Bulldogs.  He became the Bryant head coach after serving the last seven years as the offensive coordinator at Princeton.  Bryant is 2-3 this season and makes its NEC debut this year following a bye week.
 
Bryant has seen an immediate offensive improvement with Perry's arrival.  The Bulldogs are averaging 29.2 points per game, ranking second in the NEC, and lead the conference with 484.4 total yards per game, good for eighth in the FCS.  Bryant has the third-best passing attack in the FCS, averaging 354.2 yards per contest.  The Bulldogs are also averaging 130.2 yards on the ground.
 
Redshirt junior Price Wilson is in his first year as the starting signal caller after transferring from Louisiana Tech.  Wilson, six-foot-one, 241 pounds, ranks seventh in the FCS with 1,767 passing yards and third in passing yards per game, with 353.4.  Wilson has completed 59 percent of his passes, while averaging 46 attempts per game.  He has thrown 10 touchdown passes, but has been picked off 11 times. 
 
Freshman Isaac McCray and junior Brenden Femiano join Wilson in the backfield.  McCray, 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, has 287 yards on 55 carries, averaging 57.4 yards per game and 5.2 yards per carry.  McCray has three rushing touchdowns and has caught 11 passes for 160 yards.  Femiano, six-foot, 209 pounds, has 46 carries for 218 yards and a touchdown, averaging 54.5 yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry.  Fullback Hayden Panagos has one carry for five yards and four catches for 31 yards.
 
The Bulldogs have a talented group of receivers, with five players catching 12 or more passes this season.  Senior Tom Kennedy, 5-foot-11, leads the team with 25 receptions for 360 yards and two touchdowns.  Senior Matt Sewall, a 5-foot-10 all-purpose threat for the Bulldogs, has 21 catches for 268 yards and four touchdowns, while five-foot-nine sophomore Jean Constant ranks third in the FCS in all-purpose yards per game, averaging 161.6.  He has 20 catches for 292 yards and three scores.  Senior Aaron Ayree, six-foot-one, has hauled in 14 receptions for 288 yards and a touchdown, averaging 20.6 yards per catch.  Junior Vincent Nisivoccia, five-foot-nine, has 12 catches for 132 yards. 
 
Bryant's offensive line features a senior, three juniors and a sophomore.  Senior left guard Shawn Gholson leads the group with 19 career starts.  Junior left tackle Pete Mestre has nine career starts.  Junior center Andrew Jones and sophomore right guard Kyle Mann have started all five games this year.  Junior right tackle Nolan Wilson has three starts this season.
 
The Bulldogs use a 4-3 defensive scheme.  Bryant is allowing 42.8 points and 480.0 total yards, ranking seventh in the NEC in both categories.  The Bulldogs are giving 293.6 passing yards, placing seventh in the NEC, and 186.4 rushing yards, ranking sixth in the league.  Bryant has forced five turnovers, including three interceptions, and recorded 11 sacks.
 
Preseason All-NEC junior end Dillon Guthro leads the defensive line.  He has made 13 stops, five solo, a tackle for loss and half a sack.  At the other end position is sophomore Tomas Wright has four solo tackles and a sack.  Junior tackle Kevin Lazo has recorded 16 tackles, seven solo, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery and two blocked kicks.  Fellow tackle Anthony DiMatteo, a junior, has 12 tackles, including eight solo.  Junior Peter Corbett also sees time at tackle, with seven tackles and a sack this year.
 
Middle linebacker Thomas Costigan has had an impressive junior campaign.  He leads the NEC with 45 tackles, including 28 solo stops.  Costigan ranks third in the FCS with six sacks to go with 7.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and an interception.  Sophomore Richard Ukele has made 39 stops, 21 solo, half a tackle for loss and two pass breakups.  Junior Christian Martey has recorded 21 tackles, 10 solo, 1.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups.  Also in the linebacker rotation is sophomore Robert Brown, who has 15 tackles, 10 solo, a tackle for loss and an interception. 
 
Junior safety Danny Hughes paces the secondary with 18 tackles this year, including 15 solo, and three pass breakups.  At the opposite safety spot is senior Pat Champagnie, who has made 17 stops, seven solo, and a pass breakup.  Cornerback Torrey Dixon, a senior, has 14 tackles, 11 solo, half a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and two pass breakups.  Fellow corner Zahir Williams, a sophomore, has 13 tackles, 10 solo, an interception and a pass breakup.  Sophomore Eulogio Portugal is a key member of the secondary rotation with 18 tackles, 14 solo, and five pass breakups.
 
Sophomore Gavin Rowley is handling the kicking and punting duties this season.  He has made five-of-seven field goal attempts, with a long of 33, and 13-of-14 extra point attempts.  He's also averaging 36.6 yards per punt, including a long of 59, with eight inside the 20.  Jean Constant is averaging 25.5 yards per kickoff return, with a long return of 42 yards, and nine yards per punt return. 
 
The Red Flash trails the all-time series, 6-3, against Bryant.  SFU is 1-3 all-time at Bryant.  However, Saint Francis earned a 38-3 win over the Bulldogs last year, its largest win over an NEC opponent.  Lewis caught 10 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.  Jalen Wells (Westerville, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) added a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown, while Zane Stewart (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) had two sacks and an interception.
