Ann Colligan, the reigning Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, has gotten her sophomore season off to a solid start in the first two events of the 2011-12 campaign. Last week, Colligan captured her first collegiate individual title in the 61-player field at the Cleveland State Invitational. She carded a two-day even-par 146 (73-73) to give her a five shot advantage over the second place finisher. With 10 birdies made in the two rounds of action, Colligan led all individuals in that category. From that performance along with her third place finish at the team's earlier tournament, Colligan was named NEC Women's Golfer of the Month.
