Junior track star Keishana LaRose set a new Northeast Conference record Sunday afternoon during the final day of the Indoor NEC Championships. In the 400m dash, LaRose posted a time of 55.32 besting the field by more than a full second. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native made a strong showing in the 200m dash as well, edged LIU Brooklyn's Jazmin Waller by .03 seconds to claim the title and an ECAC qualifying time of 24.81. For her performances this weekend, LaRose was named Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet. Her wins helped the Red Flash earn a fourth place finish in the 12-team field.
