Red Flash Basketball to Host 2nd Annual PinkZone

LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 9, 2009) – The Saint Francis women's basketball team will host their second annual “Think Pink” Day to promote and support breast cancer awareness on Saturday, February 14, as they take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers. Tip-off it set for 4 p.m.

Amy Mearkle of WTAJ-TV will be the Flash's honorary coach for their match up with the Pioneers, who are undefeated in the Northeast Conference. The players will sport pink jerseys and shorts, and the uniforms will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game.

Tickets for the game are $2 for those who wear pink. An official “Think Pink” t-shirt can be purchased for $5 at various locations on campus, as well as Smithmyers Superette. All proceeds go to The American Cancer Society of Central Pennsylvania.
