Series History
Sant Francis holds a strong 27-16 advantage over Fairleigh Dickson entering the two schools 44th all-time match up on Saturday. The Red Flash also have a 15-7 record versus the Knights at DeGol Arena, including last season's 75-52 win on February 28th. The Flash had a nine-game winning streak against the Knights that lasted from 2000-06.
(Turn)Over and Out
The Red Flash lead the league in turnover margin with a +3.5, but it certainly didn't show against Monmouth. The Hawks forced the Flash to turn the ball over 19 times, while SFU forced just 14 turnovers, marking the first time since December 17 that the Red Flash have lost the turnover battle. The Penguins forced 15 turnovers, while SFU was one short with 14. The Red Flash have turned the ball over more time than their opponents just four times this season.
Home Not-So-Sweet Home
The Red Flash found themselves on the losing end of 65-61 battle with Monmouth Hawks on Thursday evening at DeGol Arena, marking the second consecutive home loss the Flash have suffered. Saint Francis has defeated just one NEC rival at DeGol - Mount St. Mary's on December 6 - and has accumulated a 2-4 record on their own court.
Inching Closer...
Junior guard Samantha Leach (Mount Sterling, Ohio/Miami Trace) is inching closer to her 1,000th career points. With 14 points vs. the Hawks, she is just 220 away, and needs six to score her 100th on the season.
Next Up
The Red Flash will return the favor and travel to New Jersey to take on Monmouth and FDU. They will start with the Hawks in a 5 pm Thursday match up, and will continue with the Knights again on Saturday afternoon.
