Red Flash Will Look for Revenge in New Jersey

The Saint Francis women's basketball team will look to avenge last weeks 65-61 loss to the Monmouth Hawks this Thursday when they take on the Hawks again in West Long Branch, N.J.  This is will be SFU's first visit to the newly built Mutipurpose Activity Center.  Tip off is set for 5:00 p.m. 

Series History 

With last Thursday's loss to the Hawks, Saint Francis and Monmouth have evened up the series at 24-24.  The lloss marked just the ninth time in school history the Red Flash have dropped a home contest to the Hawks. They enter this Thursday's contest not faring well in the Garden State: SFU is just 7-14 in West Long Branch. Interestingly, one place where the Red Flash have never lost to the Hawks is in the NEC Tournament.

The Red Flash lead the league in turnover margin with a +3.0, but it certainly hasn't shown the last two games. For the fourth and fifth times this season, SFU lost the turnover battle to both the Hawks and the Knights, with +5 versus Monmouth and a +4 against
FDU.

Almost Perfect
Samantha Leach (Mount Sterling, Ohio/Miami Trace) is leading the NEC in free-throw percentage, currently shooting .906. The junior guard has been almost perfect at the line all season, missing just five free-throws at 48-of-53. Leach has shot 100 percent from the charity stripe in seven games this season.


Hodges Making History
Britney Hodges (Dayton, Ohio/Mount de Chantal) has been making her mark in the Red Flash history books all season long. After notching her 1,000 career point versus Pittsburgh in November, she has moved to 11th on the SFU all-time soring list with 1,233 points. She has also moved into second place in school history with 138 three-pointers made in her career, and is 10th all-time in steals. Hodges has also moved to seventh all time with 337 assists.
