LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 19, 2010) – The Saint Francis men's basketball team returns to DeGol Arena for a pivotal non-conference game against in-state rival Bucknell on Saturday night. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. The game can be heard live on The EDGE 1400 AM (Loretto).
The Red Flash are coming off a tough 72-68 loss on Wednesday night at Lafayette. They fell behind early and fell short of a remarkable comeback attempt in the final minute.
SFU is 1-2 overall, and returns to DeGol Arena where it has an 11-5 record over its last 16 home games dating back to the 2008-09 season finale. Saint Francis finished with a 9-5 home record last season, and won its home opener versus Colgate this past Monday, 69-66.
The Red Flash will face Bucknell for the 26th time in program history with the Bison holding a 14-11 advantage in the series. Bucknell won last year's meeting, 70-58, but SFU has won two of the last three games in the series.
Tickets to Saturday night's game can be purchased on game day at the ticket window. Reserved chair-back seats are $12, general admission seats are $8, and students/children (12-and-under) are $4.
