Red Flash Look to Rebound from OT Loss at Robert Morris

LORETTO, Pa. - The Saint Francis women's basketball team will look to rebound from a heartbreaking overtime loss to Robert Morris when they take on the Colonials on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Sewell Center in Moon Township.  Both teams will try to take the lead in the all-time series, which is currently tied 32-all.

 Series History
The Red Flash will take on the Colonials for the second time in three days as part of NEC?rivals week.   With their overtime win on Thursday, RMU?has evened the series at 32-32.  After falling to Robert Morris on Jan. 3 last season, the Red Flash battled back to win take a win from RMU in the last game of the season.  SFU?then went on to knock the Colonials from the NEC?Tournament less than a week later.  SFU?is 12-17 in Moon Township.

 Daly Earns NEC?Nod
Allison Daly (Harrisburg, Pa./Trinity) became the second Red Flash player to earn the NEC/Choice Hotel's Player-of-the-Week award this season, earning the honor on Feb. 1.  The Junior guard had a double-double (13 pts, 10 reb)?against SFNY, then scored 25 points and led the reboudning effort with seven to help the Flash get past LIU?on Thursday.  Daly shared the award with Sacred Heart's Alisa Apo.  Teammate Britney Hodges (Dayton, Ohio/Mount de Chantal) has garnered recognition twice this season.

It's Been Awhile
Allison Daly (Harrisburg, Pa./Trinity)'s 17 rebonds agains Robert Morris were not only a career high for the junior guard, tthey also marked the most rebounds in more than six years by a Red Flash player.  The last time a player had 17 or more rebounds was Jan. 8, 2006 when SFU?Great Beth Swink grabbed 17 boards.  

1,000 Point Watch
Samantha Leach (Mount Sterling, Ohio/Miami Trace) led the team with 23 points on Thursday against Robert Morris, coming one step closer to scoring her 1,000th career point.  The junior guard now has 871 career points, and is averaging   13.6 per game.  

OT-Oh No
The Red Flash tied a team-high as they played in their third overtime game of the season on Thursday against RMU, after previously going into OT?with Monmouth and Wagner.  Unfortunately for the Flash, extra minutes are not extra help as SFU dropped all three games.  The last time SFU?had three OT?games in a season was 2005-05 (BGSU-L, Toldeo- W, LIU- W).
