- The Red Flash put together an excellent shooting stretch during their four-game home stand shooting 56.6-percent on their home floor. The Red Flash led the NEC in team shooting percentage connecting on 49.9-percent of it shot attempts.

Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) went 8-of-9 from the floor against FDU and is now 33-of-37 (89.2-percent) from the floor at home. The junior is also shooting over 80-percent from the floor this season, leading the NEC and the nation. No other player in the Northeast conference is shooting better than 60-percent this seaodn

Jon Taylor (Bowie, Md./Montgomery College-Germantown) posted double-digits off the bench for the third time in four games.
Anthony Ervin (Chesterfield, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) poured in 19 points as a reserve vs. FDU, marking his third consecutive game of double digit scoring off the bench for the Flash.

Chris Johnson (Newport News, Va./Denbigh) ranks second in the NEC in assists and second in the NEC in assists to turnover ratio after a season nine assists against FDU.
- The Red Flash hold an all-time mark of 3-5 against Lehigh. SFU won the first three meetings but have not defeated the Mountain Hawks wince the 1977-78 season. The two teams have meet each season for the past four seasons.
- It is the second-consecutive season, SFU has traveled to Bethlehem, Pa. following the Flashes two NEC December contests.
- Last season SFU was held to just 32-percent shooting against the Mountain Hawks as Lehigh knocked off SFU 79-61.
- SFU has stepped up its' shooting in the past week moving from 119th nationally in field goal percentage to 18th, ahead of No. 1 ranked Kentucky.
SCOTTY'S ON FIRE
Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) is leading the nation in field goal percentage shooting just over 80-percent from the field. The sophomore from Hershey, Pa. has missed just 10 of his 51 shots this season. The forward is not just the only player in the country shooting better than 80-percent this season but he is also one of just two players nationally shooting better than 70-percent on the season. Eatherton has been at his best on his home floor missing only four shots in his five home games this season. He has also missed more than two shots in a game just once this season.
ROOKIE WITH BIG ROLLS
Stephon Whyatt (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep),
Earl Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and
Ollie Jackson (Dallas, Texas/Pinkston ) have all become main stays in the Saint Francis starting line up. Both Whyatt and Jackson are averaging over seven points per game and Whyatt had led the way for the rookie with four double digit performances in eight games this season.
THE BENCH MAKES THEM STRONGER
Two Red Flash upperclassmen,
Anthony Ervin (Chesterfield, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) and
Jon Taylor (Bowie, Md./Montgomery College-Germantown), were moved out of the starting lineup after the first three games of the season. The two have responded by putting together excellent performances off the bench for SFU and adding a great deal of depth to the team.
Since moving from the starting five, Taylor has raised his scoring average from 4.3 to 7.3 and posted double-digit performances in three of his last four games. The senior has also recorded his season high of 12 points since becoming a reserve and Taylor has nearly doubled his shooting percentage. As a starter, Taylor shot 33.3-percent from the field and as a reserve 61.3 percent.
Ervin has also seen a rise in his number since moving into a reserve roll. The junior has posted three double-digit performances from the bench including dropping a season high 19 against Fairleigh Dickinson. In his last three games, all as a bench performer, Ervin has averaged 16 points and five rebounds a game while shooting 76-percent from the field.
WORKING ON THE GLASS
After not winning the rebound battle in any of their first six games, the Red Flash have out rebounded their opponents in their last two games resulting in a two-game winning streak.
SFU struggled in rebounding early in the season being out rebounded by as many as 22 at Bucknell but SFU bested Monmouth by 10 and FDU by five. With the Flash leading by two against FDU,
Anthony Ervin (Chesterfield, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) pulled down a key offensive rebound to help secure the win for the Flash.
