FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)
As a part of the NEC's 'Rivalry Week' Saint Francis will meet Robert Morris for a second time in three days as the Colonials host the Flash at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Saint Francis prevailed, 84-66, in Saturday's nationally-televised meeting to earn sole possession of first place in the Northeast Conference for the first time this season. The 18-point victory was SFU's biggest win of the season and its most lopsided victory against the Colonials since the 2003-04 season.
The Flash haven't defeated RMU in back-to-back regular season games since the 2003-04 season. SFU won 14 consecutive regular-season meetings against the Colonials between 1997 and 2004.
Saint Francis leads the all-time series 34-33, after winning four of the last six matchups. Robert Morris has won 10 of the last 13 regular season meetings dating back to the 2004-05 campaign. During that stretch, SFU is a perfect 3-0 vs. the Colonials in the postseason.
With a 20-win season in sight for the first time since the 2005-05 season, the postseason-bound Red Flash can match their season-long win streak of five with a victory in Monday's contest.
NEXT UP: FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON
Saint Francis looks to finish off a season sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson after winning a nail-biter against the Knights back on Jan. 15. The Red Flash needed overtime to earn a 73-70 win over FDU at DeGol Arena. The Flash are 29-18 all-time against the Knights, who enter Monday's action in eighth place in the NEC with a 5-8 record. SFU won 20 of 22 meetings between 1993 and 2006 but since then, FDU has taken five of nine decisions. Susan Robinson Fruchtl's Flash are 4-3 against the Knights.
