LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 27 2012) –
The Saint Francis University men's basketball team takes on Northeast Conference leading LIU Brooklyn Saturday at 7 p.m.

FLASH FACTS
- The Red Flash enter Saturday's game coming off their worst home loss of the season falling to St. Francis (NY), 65-75. LIU Brooklyn dropped its first conference game of the season Thursday at Robert Morris, 66-75.

- All-time the Red Flash hold a record of 32-31 against the Blackbirds. Last season, LIU Brooklyn knocked off SFU twice in three meeting but the Red Flash bested LIU in the meeting in Loretto.

- The Red Flash have not lost to the Blackbirds in Loretto since Dec. 4, 2008, when LIU Brooklyn knocked off SFU 58-73.

- Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) averages 7.3 points per game against LIU Brooklyn in three meetings while Kameron Ritter averages 6.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in three meetings with the Blackbirds.

- Eatherton posted his third perfect shooting night of the season Thursday going 8-for-8 from the field. The sophomore enters Saturday's game ranked third nationally in field goal percentage just ahead of Indiana's Cody Zeller. Eatherton holds the best shooting percentage in the nation by a non-senior.

- Eatherton ranks second in the NEC in offensive rebounds in conference play. The stat is surprising as SFU holds the second-best field percentage in the NEC action so there are very few offensive rebounding chances.

- In games at DeGol Arena, Eatherton is shooting 80.6-percent from the floor with only 14 missed shots on 72 shot attempts.

- In last season's meeting in Loretto, Ritter posted 20 points against the Blackbirds and helped lead the Red Flash to the upset.

- Anthony Ervin (Chesterfield, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) posted a career-high 27 points against St. Francis (NY) Thursday and did it with solid shooting going 10-of-19 from the field.

- The Red Flash look to defend their home floor, where they own a record of 4-5 this season with four of their losses coming by three points or fewer.

- Stephon Whyatt (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) tied a career-high with 12 points Thursday and did it with the best shooting performance of his young career going 4-of-5 from the field.

- The Red Flash finished Thursday's game without committing a turnover in the final 13:11.

- The SFU bench posted 16 points Thursday but continues to struggle and has registered double figures just three of the Flashes' last six games.

- In home conference games, SFU is shooting 51.6 percent from the field led by Eatherton, Ritter and Ervin, who all shoot 50 percent or better in league home games. Eatherton holds the top percentage having just missed 11 shots (On 44 shot attempts) in NEC games at DeGol Arena.

- The Red Flash average 68.9 points per game in home games up from their season average of 60.8 points per contest.

- Both Ritter and Whyatt own an assist-to-turnover ratio above one in home games this season. The team as a whole as has 138 assists in home games with 137 turnovers.

- Ritter has keyed the SFU offense this season, the sophomore holds a 17/7 assist-to-turnover ratio in wins and a 25/23 mark in SFU losses.

- In over 40 minutes of action in the last two games, Jon Taylor (Bowie, Md./Montgomery College-Germantown) and Tony Peters (Roselle, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) are both +5 while Ervin is a +2.

- The last time LIU Brooklyn came to Loretto they lost and did not lose to an NEC foe until 366 days later.

SATURDAY SUCCESS
The Red Flash have posted solid performances this season in NEC games on Saturday. SFU holds a record of 3-1 against NEC foes on Saturday with its only loss coming on the road at Bryant by just three points. Saint Francis averages 68 points in Saturday games. Sophomore Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) averages 20 points per game and nine rebounds a game on Saturday. ASSIST-TO-TURNOVERS
