LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 10, 2012) –
The Saint Francis University men's basketball team wraps up rivalry week Saturday with a 7 p.m. tipoff against instate conference foe Robert Morris.
 
FLASH FACTS
- The Red Flash fell to the Colonials Wednesday 78-74 in the fifth home loss for the Flash by four points or fewer this season.
 
- The Red Flash are seeking their first win against instate conference rivals since Dec. 8, 2007. The Colonials have won eight consecutive meetings in the “Keystone Clash”.
 
- Anthony Ervin (Chesterfield, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) tallied 20-points or more for the second time in his last five games against Robert Morris Wednesday. The junior forward has struggled with consistence, however as he has also posted two single digit performance in the same five game stretch.
 
- Stephon Whyatt (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) enters Saturday with three consecutive double-digit performances and with four in his last five games.
 
- Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) posted just 10 points in Wednesday's meeting with the Colonials. Eatherton has struggled in last three games and has averages just nine points game. Eatherton returns to the road where he has been a double-double machine with five in six conference road games this season.
 
- Storm Stanley (Lambertville, Mich./St. Francis de Sales) and Tony Peters (Roselle, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) both posted NEC career-highs against Robert Morris Wednesday. Stanley tallied six points in four points in just four minutes in the first half.
 
- Ollie Jackson (Dallas, Texas/Pinkston ) has averaged just five points game since dropping a career-high 24 on NEC leading LIU Brooklyn. The SFU rookie has struggled behind the arc since the meeting with LIU going just 2-of-12 from 3-point range in the last three games.
 
- Kameron Ritter posted a career-high nine assists Wednesday and just two turnovers. In his last four games the sophomore owns a 22-12 assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
- Since posting 1-for-6 night against St. Francis (NY), Earl Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) has been electric from the field. The freshman forward has gone 17-of-28 from the floor and posted a career-high 13 against NEC leading LIU Brooklyn.
 
- Eatherton, who started the season with very hot shooting but the sophomore forward has struggled in his last three games. The Hershey, Pa. native is shooting just 45.8-percent in his last three contests, including one of his worst nights of the season at Mount St. Mary's.
 
- Saint Francis is seeking just its second road win of the season but the last time SFU knockoff Robert Morris it came on the road in Moon Township.
 
Starting guards Stephon Whyatt (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) and Kameron Ritter scored or assisted on 20 of Saint Francis' 24 field goals Wednesday.    
 
CONFERENCE ROAD GAMES
The Red Flash are 1-5 in conference road games this season with their only win coming at Fairleigh Dickinson. The FDU game is also the only conference road game this season in which the Flash have scored more than 60 points. The SFU offensive struggles on the road in league play averaging just 56 points a game. SFU outshoot it opponents' percentage wise on the road both from 3-point range and overall from the field but shoots it far less and turns it over far more. In conference road games, the Red Flash average 17.6 turnovers a game while only forcing 12.8. The biggest area of struggle for the Flash in league road games has come at the free throw line where they are shooting 60-percent on the season.
 
SATURDAY SUCCESS
The Red Flash have been much better in conference play on Saturday's and hold a 3-3 record on all other days they are 1-6. As a team the Red Flash average five more points a game on Saturday and give up four less per contest. SFU also holds it opponents to a worse 3-points and overall field goal percentage on Saturdays. Scott Eatherton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) averages more point and more rebounds on Saturdays. Kameron Ritter show the biggest difference from Saturday's and all other days. The sophomore guard average three points on the weekend and has just nine turnovers in six Saturday conference games this season. In league games on days other than Saturday, Ritter has 24 turnovers. The Red Flash also average 20.5 trips to the free throw line in Saturday games compared to just 16.7 in conference games on days other than Saturday.
 
SFU VS RMU
The Red Flash will look to end an eight-game losing skid to the their instate conference rival Robert Morris Saturday. SFU has not knocked off RMU since Dec. 8, 2007 when the Red Flash knocked off RMU 75-66 in Moon Township. RMU head coach Andy Toole has never lost to SFU in three meetings while SFU head coach Don Friday has never beaten the Colonials in seven tries. No player on the Saint Francis roster has ever been part of a win against Robert Morris.
