Colonials visit Stokes Center to wrap up Rivalry Week

FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)

Saint Francis plays host to Robert Morris on Wednesday for the second game of a two-game set with the Colonials.  The unorthodox back-to-back scheduling is a part of the Northeast Conference's 'Rivalry Week.'

Last week, the Red Flash lost to Robert Morris, 77-65, at the Sewall Center after squandering an 11-point lead in the second half.  The setback snapped a four-game SFU winning streak, but the Flash remained tied for third place in the NEC standings thanks to a Monmouth loss to Fairleigh Dickinson.

SFU has won three of the last four contests in the series and holds a slim all-time edge of 35-34.  The Flash enjoyed its most successful stretch in the series from 1992 to 2005 when it won 26 of 28 meetings.

The Colonials come in looking to sweep the Red Flash in the season series for the 2007-08 campaign.  RMU won both regular season meetings in 2009-10, but fell to Saint Francis in the NEC Semifinals, 80-79.  At 7-6 in NEC play, Robert Morris is in a three-way tangle for fifth in the league standings.

Saint Francis welcomes Bryant on Saturday as the Red Flash celebrates Senior Day.
