FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)
Saint Francis University opens the final month of the regular season on the road with the short trip to Mount St. Mary's.
The Red Flash have won two in a row for only the second time this season but are 3-1 over the past four games – a run that has landed SFU in sole possession of fourth place in the Northeast Conference standings with a 6-4 league record.
With a 4-6 mark in the NEC, the Mountaineers are in a three-way tie for eighth place. The Mount dropped its last two games to league-frontrunners Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac.
Saint Francis is 5-1 against teams in fifth place or lower on the season.
The third of four teams that the Flash will meet only once this season, SFU can nail down a third head-to-head tiebreaker with a win over Mount St. Mary's.
On a grander scale, Saint Francis can take the lead in the all-time series with the Mount for the first time. Pre-1995, MSM went 13-2 against the Flash but SFU has won 24 of 37 since.
The Red Flash continues its three-game, three state jaunt on Monday when it stops in at Wagner for a 7 p.m. contest.
