Saint Francis travels to Wagner looking to match its longest win streak of the season and string together road victories for only the second time this season on Monday. The Red Flash enters the game having won three straight decisions to climb into a tie for third place in the Northeast Conference standings.
The Seahawks, on the other hand, are looking to snap a painful 14-game skid that has left them in the depths of the league's rankings. Wagner has not won since Dec. 3, when it edged St. Francis College, 49-45, at home.
What's more, the parquet floor of the venerable Spiro Sports Center has been a second home of sorts to the Red Flash as of late. Saint Francis has won its last 10 appearances on Staten Island dating back to the 2000-01 campaign.
An SFU win coupled with a Monmouth setback at league-leading Sacred Heart would give the Flash sole possession of third heading into Saturday's Rivalry Week matchup with Robert Morris.
