Ann Colligan (Kittanning, Pa./Kittanning) earned Northeast Conference Women's Golf Player of the Month honors, the league announced Wednesday.
Colligan nailed down her second collegiate title at the Cleveland State Invitational Tuesday, successfully defending her crown from a season ago. The Kittanning, Pa. native ranked as the only player in the field of 43 at the CSU Invite to card an even-par 73 on the final day of competition, birdieing two of her final three holes, which shot her to the top of the leaderboard. In just two events this fall, Colligan has a win and a top-five finish under her belt, previously tying for fifth place at the Bucknell Invitational out of 83 competitors. Colligan now has six top-five finishes for her career as her junior campaign gets underway.
Saint Francis makes a return to tournament action for the three-day Winthrop Invitational beginning next Friday Oct. 5.
