The Saint Francis Red Flash tips off 2013 by welcoming Central Connecticut to Loretto to open up Northeast Conference action on Thursday.

Based on previous-game starters, tonight's game will feature the two youngest lineups in the NEC.  The Red Flash started two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior last time out, while the Blue Devils ran out three sophomores, a junior and a senior.

Both teams look will look to open up the New Year by snapping out of skids.  CCSU has lost its last four games an average of 21.5 points, however two of the setbacks were to top-10 programs Indiana and Syracuse.

The Flash and Blue Devils have did not play a common non-conference opponent.  Central Connecticut is 8-7 all-time at the Stokes Center.

Nearly six years ago to the day, Rob Krimmel led the Red Flash for one game – standing in for Bobby Jones in an 80-61 loss to CCSU on Jan. 4, 2007.  Jones was hospitalized for 'observation of stroke-like symptoms' following a loss at American two days earlier.
