Game #13 Preview: Bryant at Saint Francis

FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)

The Saint Francis Red Flash faces a stiff test Saturday as it looks to start 2-0 in Northeast Conference play for the second consecutive season.  Much-improved Bryant visits DeGol Arena as an emerging favorite to win the league title after downing Robert Morris, 84-77, Thursday.

The Bulldogs (8-4; 1-0) are ranked 25th in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll, thanks to impressive non-conference wins at Boston College (56-54) and Lehigh (80-79).  The Mountain Hawks, who defeated SFU at DeGol Arena on Dec. 8, are the teams' only common opponent to date.

Guards Frankie Dobbs and Dyami Starks stole the show in their team's upset of the Colonials, pouring in 26 and 29 points, respectively.  Dobbs, the reigning national player of the week, averages 13.9 points per game.  Starks leads Bryant with 17.9 points per outing, while Alex Francis averages 15.4 points per game.

Saint Francis is 1-2 against the Bulldogs at the Stokes Center.
