The Saint Francis Red Flash look to make it 2-1 in Northeast Conference play Thursday night with a matchup against Monmouth. This will be the final time the Flash play in West Long Branch for NEC action with the Hawks leaving the NEC for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The Hawks (5-10; 0-2) began conference play with back-to-back losses to Wagner and Mount St. Mary's a week ago. Additionally Monmouth enters Thursday night's contest having lost its previous seven games after a 5-3 start to the season.
Guard Andrew Nicholas led the Hawks in its most recent game versus the Mount with 19 points and seven total rebounds.
He is the leading scorer through 15 games for Monmouth, averaging 14.3 points per game. In terms of rebounds, forward Ed Waite averages 5.2 rebounds per contest to lead the team.
Saint Francis is 4-26 all time against the Hawks in West Long Branch.
The Red Flash returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Fairleigh Dickinson for a 7 p.m. game with the Knights.
