FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)
Fresh off its longest road stint of the season and a week-long layoff, The Red Flash welcomes American University as it plays at the Stokes Center for the first time in 2013-14.
The Eagles are the fourth of five Patriot League teams on Saint Francis' 2013-14 schedule, with the Frankies posting a 1-2 mark against those teams thus far. SFU won its Veteran's Day game against Navy, 60-57, at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
While American holds a 10-5 lead in the all-time series, all five Red Flash wins have occurred in Loretto.
Both American and Saint Francis have struggled on the road as of late as they look to snap skids of three and four games, respectively. The two teams have played one common opponent to date, both falling at George Mason. The Patriots clipped the Eagles, 63-60, to open the season.
Saint Francis is the second of two NEC squads that American faces off against in its interleague segment. It suffered a 68-64 setback at Mount St. Mary's on Nov. 23.
SFU is back in action on Wednesday when it welcomes Lehigh.
