LORETTO, Pa. (Dec. 19, 2013) - The Saint Francis University women's basketball team will head to Ft. Myers to play in the Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites Classic, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University.

This will be SFU's second of three games being played during the week in the 'Sunshine State'. The Red Flash fell to the University of Florida on Tuesday evening, 105-71. Three SFU players reached double-figures in scoring; Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) led the way with 18 points to go along with nine rebounds.

FGCU most recently lost to No. 12 LSU, also on Tuesday, by a score of 69-46.

This will be the first meeting between the two institutions, SFU holds a 2-6 record, while FGCU sports a 5-4 mark so far in 2013-14. The game is available online at www.espn3.com.
