Game #25 Preview: Saint Francis at Quinnipiac

FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)

Coming off its third win of the season Thursday night, the Saint Francis U men's basketball team remains in Connecticut Saturday for the final meeting with Quinnipiac in Hamden as conference opponents.

The Bobcats are winners of three-straight and five of their last six games, including a 63-61 win over Robert Morris Thursday night at home. Saint Francis on the other hand will look to make it two wins in a row for the first time all season.

Ike Azotam is Quinnipiac's double threat, averaging 13.7 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per contest, both of which are tops on the Bobcats squad. The Red Flash will need to contain Azotam's hot shooting hand as he is shooting an even 50 percent for the season from the field.

QU holds the upper hand in the all-time series, 19-8. It has been a struggle for SFU in Hamden over the years, only defeating the Bobcats twice in 12 meetings on the road.

Saint Francis returns home to Sweet Loretto to welcome the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights to DeGol Arena next Thursday Feb. 21 as the 2012-13 season draws nearer to a close. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
