The Saint Francis U men's basketball team opens up its final homestand of the 2012-13 season Thursday night as the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights visit DeGol Arena.
The Red Flash are poised to earn its fourth win of the season, overall and in conference play, while the Knights are aiming to snap an 11-game losing streak. FDU's last win came against Saint Francis, a 79-69 overtime victory back on Jan. 12.
Fairleigh Dickinson boasts two scorers who are averaging in double figures for the season. Kinu Rochford is averaging 14.7 points per game while Melquan Bolding has scored an average of 13.9 points per contest. Both seniors are the Knights leading rebounders as well with Rochford holding the upper hand, averaging 9.1 rebounds a game, tops in the NEC.
It has been a tight all-time series between these two schools thus far but SFU currently has the advantage 40-39. In Loretto the Red Flash have defeated the Knights a total of 25 times.
Saint Francis wraps up the home portion of its schedule this Saturday at 1 p.m. as the Monmouth Hawks visit Sweet Loretto for the final time as conference opponents.
