Red Flash finish weekend with top conference record

BRADLEY BEACH, N.J. (Feb. 3, 2013) - The Saint Francis U bowling team wrapped up the second Northeast Conference meet of the season with a 3-1 record on Sunday.

"This team is maturing with each player working harder to improve to achieve our team goals," head coach Tom Falbo said. "As a result, we're seeing more players step into contributing roles in key wins. We've committed to a special attitude as a team a week ago, which is our driving force behind a great second half start."

The Red Flash finished the weekend with a 7-2 conference record, which put them at 12-6 for the NEC this season. SFU and Fairleigh Dickinson finished the meet with the highest overall record among the 10 NEC teams.

The only blemish for SFU on Sunday was an opening 1025-867 loss to New Jersey City. After that the Flash turned it on, downing Saint Peter's 896-854, St. Francis Brooklyn 958-888 and Adelphi (a top-10 team) 911-831.

With its victory against Adelphi today, the Red Flash are now 6-1 against top-10 teams over the last two weeks.

Saint Francis returns to the lanes Feb. 15 for the James Brown Invitational in Baltimore, Md.
