- The Saint Francis University women's basketball team will make its final regular season trip of the season. SFU Takes on the Bryant Bulldogs at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

SETTING THE STAGE
 
  • Saint Francis made it two wins in a row after they clobbered Fairleigh Dickinson at home 100-89. This was the first time since 2010 that an NEC team scored in triple-digits.  
  • SFU ranks second in the Northeast Conference in scoring with 65.6 points per game, Bryant ranks fourth with 62.8 points per contest.
  • Saint Francis hit a Northeast Conference record 17 three-pointers in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday.
  • Bryant enters the match-up on a three-game losing streak after falling to Sacred Heart on Wednesday night, 58-50.
  • The Bulldogs average 42.4 rebounds per game as a team, which ranks second in the league.

  • Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) ranks second in the Northeast Conference in scoring, fourth in rebounding and second in steals. Williams stands as one of just four players in the NEC averaging a double-double per game.
  • Rebecca Keegan (Jessup, Pa./Valley View) has earned seven starts in the last nine games, the junior center scored 13 points against Monmouth. The 13 points set a new career-high for Keegan.
  • Shene Fleming (Dayton, Ohio/Chaminade-Julienne) is second on the team in rebounding at 6.7 boards per contest, Fleming scored six points and grabbed six rebounds against Monmouth.
  • Kelley Doogan (Claymont, Del./Ursuline Academy) led the Flash over FDU, the senior poured in a career-high 35 points off the bench. Doogan tied the all-time SFU record for three-pointers in a game with eight.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
 
  • Naana Ankoma-Mensa leads the team with 13.4 points per game and 12.7 rebounds per game, which rank ninth and second in the conference, respectively.
  • Jenniqua Bailey leads the team in passing, the junior guard ranks 10th in the conference with just over three assists per game.
  • Katie Whittington leads the team in three-point shooting, the senior guard has knocked down 36 triples in 2012-13.

  • In the last meeting between the two schools, SFU won 81-76 in the NEC Opener in Sweet Loretto.   
  • Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) scored a game-high 30 points and had 10 rebounds.  
  • Nickia Gibbs (Greenbelt, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) added 15 points and Brooklyn Taylor (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) posted a career-high 11 points.
  • Naana Ankoma-Mensa had 25 points and 22 rebounds for the Bulldogs.  
  • SFU outscored Bryant 44-35 in the first half of play en route to the win.
 
WILLIAMS NAMED CAPITAL ONE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA®
 
Williams was honored Thursday by being named to the 2012-13 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Women's Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
Williams garnered second team laurels with a 3.89 grade-point average (GPA) in Occupational Therapy. Williams is the 37th student-athlete at SFU to be honored by CoSIDA as Academic All-America, most among all Northeast Conference institutions. Williams is also only the second SFU women's basketball player to earn All-America honors, Beth Swink was honored in 2003-04 and 2004-05.
 
FOR THE RECORD
 
Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) has cracked several key career statistical plateaus this season including recording her 1,000th point and 600th rebound. Williams also hit the 200-career steal mark. The junior now ranks as just the third player in school history to total 1,000-points, 600-rebounds and 200 steals in her career joining Beth Swink and Jess Zinobile. Williams currently ranks 11th all-time at SFU in scoring (1,282), 7th in rebounding (773) and 4th in steals (238). Williams is not the only current SFU student-athlete in the 1,000-point club, as Brittany Lilley (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) sits 19th on the all-time scoring list with 1,084 points.
 
NUMBERS TO KNOW
 
1 – Saint Francis is the only team in the NEC to score in triple-digits since 2010.
 
5 – SFU took down Bryant by just five points, 81-76 in the Northeast Conference opener on Jan. 5.
 
17 – SFU set a new Northeast Conference record with 17 three-pointers in the win over FDU.
 
20/20 – Bryant's Naana Ankoma-Mensa posted a 25 point, 22 rebound effort against the Flash in the meeting on Jan. 5.
 
35 – Kelley Doogan (Claymont, Del./Ursuline Academy) netted 35 points on Monday vs. FDU, the senior shattered her previous career-high of 14.
