LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 10, 2014) - The Saint Francis University women's basketball team will return home for the first time since its Dec. 10 game against Duquesne. SFU has played six road games since its last stop in Sweet Loretto, including its overtime thrilling victory over Central Connecticut State on Monday evening, 106-97.
Five different SFU players scored in double-figures, including three that scored at least 20 points.
Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) led the way with 27 points, while
Bridget Murphy (Bethlehem, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) posted 24 and earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors.
Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) also finished with 20 points in the win.
Fairleigh Dickinson has lost both of its Northeast Conference games and is sporting a 1-12 overall record in 2013-14. FDU fell to St. Francis Brooklyn, 57-55, on Monday night and will look for its first NEC win against the Red Flash.
Saint Francis leads the all-time series between the two schools, 34-19.The Flash won both regular season meetings last season and has won the last five meetings.
