BOX SCORE MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Jan. 18, 2014) – Behind a near triple-double effort from Artemis Spanou, Robert Morris was able to beat the Saint Francis University women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, 83-69, inside the Charles L. Sewall Center.

Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) led the way for Saint Francis with 27 points and 10 rebounds, to give her a double-double for the first time since Dec. 21.
Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) chipped in with 16 points and tied a career-high with seven rebounds.
"Robert Morris shut down some of our transition, and I was upset at our energy today," SFU head coach
Joe Haigh said.
RMU went on an 8-2 run to open the second period to take a 43-40 then each team traded baskets as there were 13 lead changes in the frame.
A Williams' jumper tied the game at 57 with 8:50 to play, and then SFU did not connect on a field goal for over five minutes. During that span, Robert Morris went on a 14-4 run to put the game out of reach down the stretch.
The Colonials took a 7-0 lead to start the game before a Williams free throw put Saint Francis on the board with under 17 minutes to play in the period. SFU took its first lead of the game (24-23) after a jumper from
Taylor Allison (State College, Pa./State College) at the 8:13 mark.
The Frankies biggest lead of the game came with five minutes to play after
Rebecca Keegan (Jessup, Pa./Valley View) connected on two free throws. With just over a second to play in the first half, a Hayward pass found Williams for a jumper and SFU took a 38-35 lead at the break.
Aisha Brock (Jacksonville, Fla./Potter's House Christian Academy) scored eight points off the bench, including two three-pointers. SFU was out-rebounded 47-38 and on the offensive glass, 14-11.
Saint Francis returns to Loretto to face Mount St. Mary's at 7 p.m. on Monday, the game can be viewed on ESPN3. SFU won last year's meeting inside DeGol Arena, 83-59.
"Last season against Mount it was one of the best games we played all season, but were going to have to come in with better energy at home," Haigh continued.
