BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 20, 2014) – The Saint Francis University women's basketball team used two double-double efforts to defeat Mount St. Mary's, 81-66, in a nationally televised contest online, inside DeGol Arena on Monday night.

Alli Williams (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) posted 25 points and 10 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double, while Rebecca Keegan (Jessup, Pa./Valley View) registered 12 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double for the Red Flash (5-12, 3-3), who won its eighth consecutive game over the Mountaineers (8-10, 3-3).

"It was a great team win tonight for us, I thought it was a clean, competitive game against two talented squads," said SFU head coach Joe Haigh.

Saint Francis struck first in the contest after a three-pointer from Aisha Brock (Jacksonville, Fla./Potter's House Christian Academy) followed by a 9-0 run by the Mountaineers to give them their lone lead of the evening. SFU took back the lead at the 14:33 mark for good after a lay-in from Williams.

The lead for the Flash extended to as much as eight on two separate occasions in the first period, the first came after an Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) triple at the 8:31 mark. Saint Francis took a 38-34 lead into the halftime break.

The Red Flash started the second half on a 16-6 run to extend its lead to 12 (54-42) at the 15:11 mark after another three from Hayward.

Mount St. Mary's narrowed the margin to six on three different occasions, but the Frankies proved resilient down the stretch to earn its third Northeast Conference win of the 2013-14 campaign.

"I was proud of the way we kept our composure and energy late in the second half, something we have struggled to do sometimes this season," Haigh continued.

Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) turned in a complete game with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Aisha Brock (Jacksonville, Fla./Potter's House Christian Academy) finished with 11 points, while Bridget Murphy (Bethlehem, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) posted 11 off the bench for SFU.

Saint Francis outshot The Mount 45% (31-68) to 38% (24-63). Saint Francis forced 11 turnovers and created 14 points off of them compared to the Mountaineers six points off 12 SFU turnovers.

The SFU bench outscored Mount St. Mary's, 28-10.

Saint Francis will start its four-game trip away from Loretto on Saturday as it travels to Fairleigh Dickinson for a 2 p.m. contest. SFU won the first meeting while setting an NEC scoring record, 111-89 on Jan. 11.
