Saint Francis U welcomes Sacred Heart to the Stokes Center Saturday as it reaches the halfway point in a season-long five-game home stand.
The game will be carried live on ROOT Sports Pittsburgh, Fox College Sports, ESPN3 and Comcast SportsNet. It is the first of two contests featuring the Red Flash in this season's Northeast Conference television package.
The Frankies opened its NEC slate by playing four of the league's top five teams – all but Central Connecticut are ranked third or higher in the current standings. The combined NEC record of SFU's first five league opponents stands at 16-9 (15-5, not including the Blue Devils). Beginning with Sacred Heart, Saint Francis' next three opponents tote a 5-10 mark in league play.
Sacred Heart has won three of the last four meetings in the series dating back to the 2011-12 season. In all, the Pioneers have taken 10 of the last 13 decisions between the two schools and are one of just three NEC teams to hold an edge over the Red Flash in Loretto (6-5).
Saint Francis is still searching for its first win in DeGol Arena this season.
