Saint Francis U looks to end January on a modest winning streak as it welcomes Central Connecticut for a 7 p.m. contest Thursday. The game is the third in SFU's season-long five-game home stand.
After downing the Blue Devils, 75-67, on Jan. 11 the Frankies will also attempt to sweep its season series against CCSU for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign.
Saint Francis has won two of the last three meetings in the series dating back to last season. The Blue Devils have taken four of the last seven decisions between the two schools, but are 9-7 against the Red Flash in Loretto.
The Red Flash opened its NEC slate by playing four of the league's top five teams – all but Central Connecticut are ranked fourth or higher in the current standings. The combined NEC record of SFU's first five league opponents stands at 18-12 (17-7, not including the Blue Devils). Saint Francis is 1-0 in its current three-game stretch against teams with a combined 6-12 mark.
Saint Francis is searching for its second win in DeGol Arena this season.
