Saint Francis U Red Flash (2-9) at Sacred Heart (3-8)

LORETTO, Pa. (Dec. 3, 2014) - The Saint Francis University women's basketball team will open its 2014 Northeast Conference schedule on Jan. 4 as it travels to Sacred Heart for a 2 p.m. match-up which can be viewed on ESPN3.

The Red Flash and Pioneers met last season in the NEC semifinals, where SFU, the lower seeded team, came away with the victory in Fairfield. SFU lost to Sacred Heart both times in the regular season in 2012-13 however.

Saint Francis finished up its non-conference portion of its schedule with six straight setbacks. SFU fell to Bowling Green on Dec. 29, 81-66 in Ohio. Sacred Heart has earned three wins so far in 2013-14 and they took down Maine most recently, 76-75.

Sacred Heart leads the all-time series 15-9, and SFU will host Sacred Heart on Feb. 8 for the second of two NEC meetings this season.
